Our History
The American Society for Nondestructive Testing, Inc. (ASNT) is the world’s largest technical society for nondestructive testing (NDT) professionals. Founded in 1941, under the name of “The American Industrial Radium and X-Ray Society”. It has currently over 70 local and 17 international sections. ASNT’s key objective is to provide a forum for exchange of NDT Technical information, Education Materials, Programs, Qualification & Certification of NDT personal, Research and Development.
Our Mission
Chicago ASNT collaborates with ASNT to achieve the common goal of creating a safer world by promoting the profession and technologies of nondestructive testing in the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
Chicago ASNT Sections prime objective is to promote and increase participation in the Society’s activities from this part of the world, thereby generating awareness and enthusiasm among today's youth and NDT professionals.
